The doc said the hand surgery went well. Josh's joined pair of digits on his right hand has been separated cleanly. He received a 6 inch long graft of skin from near his groin, and that went in between the newly freed fingers. His arm has been bandaged into his body, much like a Mini- Napoleon.
As expected, he went nuts coming out of the operation - a nurse nicknamed him Houdini - and now, almost 24 hours later, he is still damned miserable.
"Help! Arm stuck. Help!"
Not the easiest words to hear as a parent.
The past 24 hours have been miserable for us, but certainly cannot compare to what this sweet, frightened little thing has been through.
